New York

All authors, actors, foodies, journalists and hipsters have already written everything about this town so there is relly no idea for me to add anything to this mass-hysteria. Everybody is reporting that New York is one of the coolest and trendiest places on earth. To me, New York is just surprisingly old, worn and dirty. But New York sure has some massive and impressive buildings from the days when this was still a city with hopes for the future. The lack of development makes New York look like some gigantic museum that got stuck in the mid 80's. And that's why I like it! It is a pity though, that New York is in the wrong continent. Maybe we could undock the entire Manhattan and anchor it somewhere at the Elbe outlet north west of Hamburg. New York belongs to old Europe! Bring her home!
