Birstonas

Birstonas is a beautiful, sleepy little town next to the Nemunas river. Since late 19th century it has been a spa town with sanatoriums using mineral water in their baths. For decades, Birstonas has attracted people, maily from Russia, Lithuania and Poland, to relax in this healthy town. If you look around though, you will quite soon notice that Birstonas probably have seen better days. Today, abandonded buildings are hiding in the lush forests.
